Automate restocking while keeping control of orders
No, employees do not automatically buy replacement stock in the unmodified version 1.02 PC build; product licenses and Stock Order purchases stay under your control. Staff can replenish shelves and handle other assigned jobs using inventory you already have.
What employees can replenish for you
Employees can refill retail shelves, restock individual-card tables and replenish scent machines when assigned those tasks. They can also load pack-opening machines and update prices. Completed pack-opening-machine output still needs to be collected by you before the next batch can begin.
Build your routine around stock already available in the shop. Hiring a restocker gives you help moving that inventory onto shelves, while the next purchase remains your responsibility. Before you order more, check what has arrived and what your staff can actually reach.
Set up a reliable shelf replenishment routine
- Place a licensed product on a reachable sales shelf with its correct label so the employee has a clear destination.
- Put matching boxed stock nearby so the employee has inventory available for that product.
- Assign Restock Shelf as the employee's primary job to make shelf replenishment their main task.
- Choose a secondary job you want handled when the primary work is unavailable.
- Check the employee's route so the stock and sales shelves remain reachable.
- Review delivery stock and available cash to decide what the next order needs to cover.
- Place your replacement order through Stock Order to replenish the inventory your staff will use.
Review this setup when you change the products you sell or move the shelves. Look at the shelf label, matching boxes and route together before changing the worker's assignment. Keeping those checks in the same routine makes it easier to identify what needs attention.
Assign singles, scent and pack-machine work deliberately
Use Restock Card for individual-card tables when singles are stocked. Assign Refill Scent when cleanser supplies are accessible. Choose Pack Machine only for pack types you actually want consumed, then collect completed output yourself so another batch can begin.
Secondary work runs when the employee's primary work is unavailable. If shelf replenishment is your priority, keep Restock Shelf as the primary assignment and choose secondary work to suit the shop. Review that priority before expecting the same employee to cover another task.
Check empty shelves before changing the setup
- Check for matching boxed stock: employees replenish from available inventory, so you may need to place a manual order.
- Inspect the shelf label and route: keep the correct product assigned to a shelf the worker can reach.
- Review primary and secondary assignments: secondary tasks wait until primary work is unavailable.
- Check delivery stock and available cash before buying more inventory through Stock Order.
- Collect completed pack-opening-machine output if you want the next batch to begin.
Start with the part of replenishment that has stopped. An empty sales shelf calls for checking stock, labels, access and the employee's assignment. A finished pack-opening batch calls for collecting its output before expecting more machine work.
Choose automatic buying or shopping-cart assistance
Auto Warehouse advertises automatic restock purchases using available money, owned licenses and configurable spending rules. Restock Commander offers shopping-cart assistance rather than the same fully automatic buying behavior. Choose between them according to whether you want purchases automated or help preparing the cart.
Auto Warehouse lists BepInEx 5.4.23.5, Enhanced Prefab Loader and EPL API as dependencies. These features come from third-party mods. Check the requirements for the mod you choose against your game version before setting it up.
Prepare your save before using buying mods
- Back up your save before installing a buying mod so you retain a copy of your progress.
- Check the mod's version requirements and dependencies so your setup matches its installation requirements.
- Review Auto Warehouse's configurable spending rules before relying on automatic purchases.
- Recheck each mod's version requirements after a game update, especially if buying automation stops working.
