Buy through MY DIY and leave both seats accessible
Play Tables unlock at shop level 2 and cost $200 in the PC build described by player guides; purchase them through MY DIY. Place each table with clear access to both seats so customers can use it for ordinary in-store card-game sessions.
Compare the table fixture and its different uses
| Option | Effect or value | How to get or use it |
|---|---|---|
| Play Table furniture | Unlocks at shop level 2 and costs $200. | Purchase through MY DIY and place it with access to both seats. |
| Ordinary customer table session | Customer activity that earns a table fee; event formats can also affect the card market and incur operating costs. | Use Manage Events to choose the ordinary event format and fee for customers using your tables. |
| Player-versus-NPC duel | A playable Tetramon match against a waiting customer, described as lasting 3–5 minutes while the shop continues operating. | Prepare through the Workbench, unlocked at shop level 7, then approach a lone waiting customer and press RMB or the gamepad right face button. |
| Hosted tournament event | A separately organized, multi-round event; version 1.0 allows you to enter your own tournament. | Organize it using a Tournament Prize Shelf, prizes, and appropriately arranged, numbered Play Tables. |
Set ordinary event formats and fees in Manage Events
The Manage Events app controls ordinary table event formats, their fees, and their effects on the in-game card market. Some formats cost money to operate, while customers pay to use the tables. Consider the event expense alongside the money collected from occupied tables when judging whether your chosen setup is worthwhile.
Start with the default fee as your comparison point. Watch customer participation before changing the fee, and change the format or price separately so the result is easier to judge. Keep a simple note of the fee collected, event expense, and how often customers actually use the tables.
Respond to customers who say the table is too expensive
Players in Steam discussions report that raising a table's price above its default can cause 'too expensive' refusals and reduce participation. If that starts after a price increase, try moving the fee back toward its default and watch whether customers return. Judge the change by actual fees collected after event expenses, rather than the advertised fee alone.
Check the physical setup as well as the price when tables sit unused. Both seats need clear access, and customers may leave if the store is not clean and hygienic. Keep access and cleanliness in good order while you evaluate the fee, so you are not changing several parts of the setup at once.
Prepare at the Workbench before joining a customer
For a player duel, use the Workbench to read the Tetramon rulebook and create or modify your deck. The Workbench unlocks at shop level 7, and the deck described in the game's instructions contains 50 cards. Once you are ready, approach a table with a lone waiting customer and press RMB or the gamepad right face button to join.
Keep customer sessions, duels, and tournaments distinct
An ordinary paid table session does not automatically count as a player-duel win or tournament win. A duel is a match you actively play against a waiting NPC, while a tournament requires its own organized event setup. The playable Tetramon game is built for matches against NPCs, so a customer sitting at your table is not another human player joining your shop.
For tournaments, prepare the numbered Play Tables, Tournament Prize Shelf, and prizes as part of the event setup. You can enter the tournament you host, with prizes you can keep depending on your final ranking. Choose that activity when you want an organized competition, rather than expecting ordinary table occupancy to produce tournament results.
